What does working as a journalist involve?


A reporter or journalist is often an entry-level role within a media organisation, including magazines, radio, television, online and newspapers. The role involves finding and writing stories and building up contacts, with the journalist's contact book being among their most prized possessions.

Promotion for journalists includes roles as news editor, features editor and editor in print and online journalism, and as a producer, senior producer and editor within broadcasting.
